Chicken Vindaloo




Ingredients :

ginger, garlic
chicken
cumin
tomatoes, onions
ordinary chilli powder (2 spoons), turmeric powder
salt
coriander leaves, lime juice
coconut milk, oil/butter

  1. Make a paste of ginger, garlic and cumin.
  2. Heat oil/butter, add onions, the above paste, tomatoes to make a gravy.
  3. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, chicken pieces and sauté.
  4. Allow it to cook for 5mins and then add some water. (if it is Mutton, then pre-cook it in a pressure cooker and add the leftover water now)
  5. Close with lid and allow the chicken to cook.
  6. Add salt, coconut milk and allow it to boil.
  7. Add some lime juice at switch off the fame at once.
  8. Add some coriander leaves at end to add some flavour.
